Rawdon's background is in finance with 25 years public sector, Fortune 500 company and start-up experience. He holds degrees in economics and political sociology from the University of South Carolina and the London School of Economics.
Brian has over 15 years experience in senior positions at Overstock where he was held responsible for the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the organization. Popelka spearheaded development of a media channel, travel and auto sales sites of Overstock. He holds degrees (B.S.) in Journalism, Broadcasting, Film and History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
An honours graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Simon worked in nuclear commissioning and structural design prior to switching focus to DLT in 2012. Simon has held a number of positions since co-founding Bitt, including Director, CBDO, and COO.
Alex brings over a decade of experience in operations management. Alex has discharged pivotal functions in our Finance and Software Development Departments as Vice President of Product Operations and the exchange.
Patrick has over 20 years of buy side experience in fixed income capital markets. As a volunteer, he has mentored startups with their funding efforts. He holds degrees in finance (B.S.) and international business (MBA) from the University of Colorado and the University of Illinois.
Jake is a technology leader with 22 years of experience in software and IT. He started his career as a software engineer at Logica, designers of the SWIFT network and early Arpanet datagram, deploying billing systems for the growing cellular and satellite phone carriers throughout the world. Jake is a graduate of Weber State
Marla is recognized as a top economist and thought-leader in the Caribbean, and a leading voice in the call to reduce gender and income inequality and promote sustainable models for growth. Marla joined bitt seeking to increase financial and economic inclusion directly.
Sade N. Jemmott, LL.B, TEP, LL.M (UCL) is a Barbados-qualified Attorney-at-Law and Certified Trust and Estate Practitioner. Prior to assuming her current role, her professional focus was the commercial needs of international corporations, financial institutions and entrepreneurs at a pan-Caribbean law firm.
Is an American entrepreneur, e-commerce pioneer and CEO of Overstock.com. In 1999, Byrne launched Overstock.Byrne has advocated for cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin In January 2014, Overstock.com became the first major online retailer to accept bitcoin.
Peter is an active businessman and entrepreneur in Trinidad and Tobago. His associated companies employ in excess of 850 people. Peter’s commitment to financial inclusion led him to invest in Bitt in 2014, making him the company’s first investor.
Co-Founder, Original CEO and Executive Vice Chairman of Bitt. Gabriel was introduced to cryptocurrencies in early 2010 during his undergraduate studies at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) where he obtained a Bachelor of IT.
Damien has over 30 years of experience as an academic, researcher and business consultant. He is the Executive Director of the Caribbean Policy Research Institute, the Caribbean’s leading think tank. He is also a University of the West Indies Lecturer.
Co-Founder, Original President and CFO of Bitt. Introduced to cryptocurrencies in 2012, Oliver became an early. He is an Honors graduate from the University of Bristol where he double majored in Accounting and Finance.
As VP of global operations for Overstock.com, Ali oversees both marketplace partnerships including Bitt, and the Worldstock program. He frequently serves as a foreign policy advisor to the Lebanese Parliament and is often a guest lecturer at top-tier universities.
Since August 2016, Jonathan has served as President of Medici Ventures, which specializes in every aspect of blockchain applications. He was an integral part of Overstock's growth from a small start-up to reach over $2.2 billion in sales and have over 2,200 employees.
Wade specializes in Tax law and management and has served as Caribbean Tax Manager Partner at Ernst and Young Caribbean for over 25 years.
