Bitt donates to school

19th August 2019, Bridgetown, BARBADOS – When classes start on September 9th, students of the St. George Secondary School will benefit from the donation of equipment from the Barbados-based blockchain experts, Bitt Inc.

In presenting the laptops, printer, tablet, ink and paper, CEO of Bitt, Rawdon Adams, highlighted that

“Bitt’s mission is to empower people through digital payment solutions. During our Career Day, we empowered your students and teachers with information about possible career options. Today, we empower your students with the tools to actively research further opportunities within their chosen careers.”
The initiative developed out of discussions that occurred on June 25th, when Bitt hosted their inaugural Career Day. Mrs. Patricia Welch, Guidance Counsellor of the rural secondary school, attended with her students and enquired about the possibility of a small equipment donation.
“These resources will greatly assist our department in preparing our students for life after St. George [Secondary School], especially guiding them through the preparation and printing of their résumés”.

Mr. Dennis Browne, Principal of the St. George Secondary School, gratefully accepted the donation and invited others to make

“We are very appreciative of this donation from Bitt Inc., and encourage other businesses and/or individuals to make similar donations for the benefit of students of this and other schools across Barbados”.
